Create a code-free productivity dashboard with live screenshots of any site or app

Keeping tabs on different sites shouldn’t mean you actually have to keep all those tabs open. (“You know what they say: mo’ tabs, mo’ browser crashes.”)

Without a solution that can centralize data from different tools, manually scanning all those open tabs is the only way to know if something changes.

Good thing there’s a tool that lets you capture live screenshots to build dashboards using different data sources, all without any technical setup.

Introducing Kaptr.me.

Overview

Kaptr.me is a no-code dashboard builder that lets you monitor multiple websites and apps using live screenshots.

Kaptr.me lets you create live snapshots of any app or website and assemble them into a visual dashboard of all your favorite tools.

Just open the site or app that you want, select the part of the window you want captured, and this builder will handle the rest.

And because these snapshots are automatically updated in real time, you’ll always have a current, accurate view of your data.

Live Snapshots

Create a dashboard of live snapshots from any app or website.

To start capturing live screenshots, all you need to do is download the Kaptr.me Chrome extension.

There's no complex technical setup required like webhooks, Zapier, or custom APIs to get your dashboard up and running.

Not sure if your data is recent? Refresh all your snapshots in one click to fetch a current view of all your apps and websites.

Refresh All

Refresh all your snapshots with a click to confirm you have the latest data.

Best of all, you can create multiple dedicated dashboards to separate your interests and keep things from getting too cluttered.

This is super handy for juggling multiple projects like tracking sales, marketing charts, stock market details, and following your favorite subreddit.

Plus, you can create text labels for your snapshots to help you know what you’re looking at.

Multiple Dashboards

Create multiple dashboards for separate work projects and personal interests.

You’ll be able to set any dashboard into “public mode” to make it viewable by others—or keep it private for your own use.

Sharing a dashboard is as easy as sending a public URL to your team members, clients, or partners to keep them in the loop.

With public URLs, you don’t have to worry about setting up account credentials or app integrations to securely share your data.

Sharing

Share your dashboards with anyone using public URLs.

Kaptr.me makes it simple to capture live screenshots of any site or app so you can build dashboards that stay up to date automatically.

Capture the web.

Q: Questions/Issues

1) Username that system created for dashboard, need to change, as really bad username, can't really share it with others, nor is it easy to remember.

2) Refresh rates, system said 5 seconds, but it never refreshed the elements of the report after minutes/hours...

3) If the browser is logged into Kaptr but widget turned off for full tracking of all the sites we visit, we can't see the public dashboard, as going to it only prompts use to install your chrome extensions.

4) White label/remove logo, on the public dashboard, 2 things we'd like to see: 1: removal of the Kptrme logo, 2) ability to use name to have our own URL for the dashboard.

Q: Hypertext links operative?

I search a list of websites each morning. On each, though, I need to click a hypertext link to get to the right page. To be clear, these sites are program pages for overseas radio stations. From the bookmarked page, I need to click today's date to get to the right page. Are these hypertext links live on the screenshots?

A: Hi there!

Yes, you can refresh the snapshots, and when you click on them, you’ll be redirected to the original source page. This way, you can quickly access the live version of the page from the snapshot.

Best,
Robin

Q: yahoo finance issues

I really like the idea of your product, however for yahoo finance I experience multiple issues:

1. It doesn't support displaying different time ranges like 1 day, 3 months, or 5 years, just 1 day is possible.
2. On some snaps, it just shows just a loading screen instead of the actual chart.
3. The loading time for a refresh is very long, even though I have a fast computer and internet connection.

Do you have any solutions for these problems?

A: Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out! Here are some possible solutions to the issues you're facing with Yahoo Finance:

1. If the URL doesn’t change when applying different time ranges (e.g., 1 day, 3 months, 5 years), Kaptr won’t be able to capture those changes since it conserves the original URL.
2. For the issue with loading screens, I recommend increasing the snapshot delay by clicking on the snapshot and adjusting the time before it captures the screen. This should allow the page to fully load before the capture is taken.
3. Similarly, for long refresh times, increasing the delay will help ensure the data is fully loaded before the capture is refreshed.

Let me know if this helps, or if you need further assistance!

Best,
Robin

Q: Anything fixed since May 2024

I noticed that I refunded this in May 2024 because it wasn't working well for me. Could you provide the release notes to shows the changes made since that time?
